FAITH STATEMENT
I believe that God is the Lord and Savior of my life. It is such a comfort to know that he loves me and is always there for me, guiding my steps and watching over me. I consider it a privilege to work in a Christian school and to be allowed to freely share my faith with the students. I especially love chapel days when the middle school students and staff gather to sing and praise God.
 
BIOGRAPHY
I graduated from Calvin College in 1992 with a B.A. in elementary education. I taught at Alameda Christian School in California, where I also met my husband Paul. Upon returning to my home in Michigan, I taught middle school math and English at Borculo Christian School. My husband and I have three children who graduated from Jenison Christian, Unity Christian High School and Calvin College. Our oldest son and daughter both got married in 2024.
 
THREE FUN FACTS:
  1. Our family has traveled to all fifty states.
  2. I have eaten alligator, squid and grasshoppers, but my favorite food is really spicy Thai food.
  3. I love working with children of all ages, so in my spare time I am our church's Kids Hope USA director at Pinewood School.
